Data we collect
- Account data: name, username, e-mail address, password (stored hashed), role, and for tutors their qualifications and bio.
- Marketplace data: questions, offers, orders, Study Room messages, uploaded files, reviews and disputes.
- Payment data: wallet transactions, deposits and withdrawal requests including the payout account you provide. Card details are handled by Stripe and never stored on our servers.
- Technical data: IP address, browser information and session cookies needed to keep you logged in and protect the site.
How we use it
- To run the marketplace: show your questions to tutors, connect you with the tutor you hire, and process payments.
- To send account and order e-mails (offers, messages, deliveries, payouts, password resets).
- To prevent fraud and abuse, and to mediate disputes.
Who can see your files and messages
Study Room messages and files are visible only to the student, the hired tutor and Gotgrade admins. Attachments on public questions can be downloaded by approved tutors. Files are stored privately and are not publicly accessible by URL.
Sharing
We do not sell your data. We share data only with service providers we need to operate (hosting, e-mail delivery, Stripe for payments), or when required by law.
Your rights
You can update your profile from your dashboard. To request a copy or deletion of your data, contact us. Transaction records may be kept as long as required for accounting and legal purposes.
Cookies
We use essential cookies for login sessions and security (CSRF protection). We do not use advertising cookies.
